Help, my computer won't shut down
Full disclosure: v3.2 was uploaded within the allowed 24 hour grace period with an update based on feedback from @wembo (thanks, great suggestion!); previous versions uploaded before technical deadline have been left visible for completeness. Now on with the original description...
I’m sure we’ve all seen that dreaded spinning wheel of doom before. That omen, right before your program (with hours of unsaved work) crashes right in front of your eyes. Right after you realise (just that bit too late) that maybe you opened one too many Chrome tabs.
Well, what if that was the goal? Picture this: you installed that brand-new, shiny AI model, but now it’s refusing to shut off. It’s costing you an arm and a leg in electricity, so you resort to the thing you know best - brute force.
In this game, you navigate an admittedly archaic interface, and your job is to make it crash. Open programs, spam inputs, whatever it takes.
Half-intense button mashing, screen clicking game, half-bizzare logic puzzle, as you navigate the system’s vain attempts to keep itself running.
- Obviously this game is super serious as it deals with the theme of AI sentience in a definitely very nuanced and unique way.
(I will admit, game balance isn't my strong suit, so sorry if this is impossible and/or way too easy. Guess this is why people play test games, but who has time for that...)
